Our Fencing Instructors

Ian Keeble

Ian Keeble

Ian has over 40 years fencing experience, and has been coaching for many of them. In the late sixties Ian was asked to coach at Kingston Adult Education Centre. From this base he formed Kingston Fencing Club one year later.

Ian can coach all three weapons but his main focus and passions are Epee and Foil. Recently Ian was honoured by the Royal Borough of Kingston in recognition of his contribution to sport in the area.

Lance Larson

Lance Larson

Somthing of a mystery, Lance has so far refused to provide a biography for the website.

We know he's from the colonies because he speaks funny. We've also heard that he's a Professor of fencing and is more than qualified to coach all three weapons, however he's most often seen working with the sabreurs. The strength of sabre fencing at Kingston is a testament to his ability.

Trevor Langford

Trevor Langford

Trevor has been fencing for over 33 years as a competitor, coach, club leader and county organiser. Having experience of competitions over a period of twenty years and a raft of qualifications including the Advanced Level BAF Awards in all three weapons, Trevor is a valuable member of our coaching team.

In addition to coaching at Kingston, Trevor also coaches part time at a number of other clubs having recently retired from a thirteen year career of full time coaching.
