Fencing Course for Adult Beginners

Kingston Fencing Club offers a fencing course for the follow types of beginner :

  • adults who have never tried fencing before and want to take it up
  • adults who may have done a little fencing before and want to start again
     Fencing Class

This 10-week course is structured around the syllabus for the Grade 1 Achievement Award at Foil as defined by the British Fencing Association.

Coombe Boys School Sports Hall, College Gardens (off Blakes Lane), New Malden, KT3 6NU

Dates

Summer Course starts Tue 11 May 2010 for 10 weeks - STARTED
Autumn Course starts Tue 7 Sep 2010 for 10 weeks - BOOK NOW

Times

Tuesday evenings from 7.45 pm to 9.15 pm (report at 7.30 pm)

Cost

£80.00 for adults. This fee covers:

  • the course (see dates above)
  • use of equipment (see below)
  • membership of the British Fencing Association (for personal insurance cover)

Cheques must be payable to "Kingston Fencing Club".

Equipment

Foils, jackets, plastrons, gloves and masks will be provided; participants should wear stretchy trousers (e.g. track suit), a short-sleeve T-shirt, and trainers. It is also advisable for participants to bring their own bottled drinking water.
